THE ASSETS UNDER MANAGEMENT REACHED 60 BILLION IN FINLAND

The assets under management(AuM) in Finnish mutual funds increased to 60 billion euros in April. The slight upswing was due to positive net subscriptions as investors invested 282 million euros in Finnish mutual funds. The AuM has already increased by €4.5 billion (8.38%) in 2012.

The equity funds lost 354.2 million euros. Negative net subscriptions accounted for 215.2 million and the rest was due to the declining market environment. The equity funds were worth 20.9 billion euros in the end of April.

Bond funds accounted for 18.2 billion euros and remained stable. Money market funds received 376.6 million euros from investors.

The best fund class was healthcare, which returned 1.6% for April. Healthcare was also the best fund class in 12-month returns, producing solid 15.1%.
