Assets under mutual fund management grew by 1.3 billion euros in January, amounting to 67.6 billion euros in the end of the month. Positive fund inflow contributed 637 million to the growth and rising market values 649 million correspondingly.
Most of the growth was seen in equity funds as the growth in assets under management amounted to 1.3 billion as well. Investors were eager to invest in stock investing mutual funds as seen in the external fund flow’s share of growth, 608 million, respectively. On the contrary, bond funds lost 397 million euros as investors withdrew funds worth 262 million. The most returning fund class in January was Finnish Equity, providing a return of 5.2% for the month.
