Investing to mutual funds has become more popular among Finns during the past year. Federation of Finnish Financial Services’ (FFI) study Säästäminen, luotonkäyttö ja maksutavat shows that approximately one billion Finns own mutual funds shares. 24 percent of the people who participated in FFI’s surveys owned mutual fund shares. This was 5 percent more than a year ago.
In April net subscriptions to mutual funds domiciled in Finland were over 924 million. At the end of the month asset under management reached all-time high of 78 billion euros.
During April net subscriptions to bond funds were 726 million euros. Net subscriptions to equity funds were 414 euros. Net redemptions to money market funds were 400 million euros.
