Net subscriptions into mutual funds domiciled in Finland were 1.5 billion euros during February. Assets under management increased over 2 billion euros due to favourable market development. Total assets reached all time high of 92.5 billion euros.
According to Piia-Noora Kauppi, the Managing Director of Federation of Finnish Financial Services, more and more individuals are investing in mutual funds.
“Over one million individual investors hold shares in mutual funds and they have an easy access to fund with relatively small monthly investments. Households are the largest investor group. They hold mutual fund share directly and indirectly through life insurance and pension funds. “
