Net subscriptions into mutual funds domiciled in Finland were 922 million euros in April. Due the market development, the value of total assets under management decreased by over 300 million euros. Despite of the market development the total assets under management reached all time high of 96.1 billion euros.
The biggest gainers of new capital were short-term bond funds with net subscriptions worth 421 million euros. The returns of money market funds are quite modest and the increased demand can be explained for example by investors seeking less risky assets. Net subscriptions into equity funds were worth -43 million euros.
