Net subscriptions into mutual funds domiciled in Finland were worth more than 8.8 billion euros in 2015. This is over 300 million euros more than in 2014. Due to positive market development the total assets under management in Finnish domiciled funds increased approximately by 3.2 billion euros. In May the total assets under management reached their all-time high of 100.2 billion euros. At the end of 2015 the assets under management were 97.3 billion euros.
In 2015 the fund class with the highest net subscriptions was asset allocation funds with net subscriptions worth 5.2 billion euros. Net subscriptions to long term bond funds, which was the fund class with the highest net subscriptions in 2014, were worth 1.7 billion euros in 2015. Monthly net subscriptions into Finnish mutual funds were positive during the beginning of the year. However, during the summer and in December the monthly net subscriptions were negative. Net subscriptions into equity funds were worth 1.4 billion euros in 2015. Due the favorable market development assets in equity funds increased by 3 billion euros. However, the volatile stock market had a great impact on the total assets of equity funds throughout the year.
In December net subscriptions to asset allocation funds were worth 155 million euros. Net subscriptions to equity funds were worth 110 million and net subscriptions to alternative funds were worth 76 million euros. However, net subscriptions to long term bond funds were -175 million euros and -51 million euros to short term bond funds
