440 million-euro positive flows to mutual funds in February

Finnish domiciled funds received 440 million euros in net subscriptions in February. Due to the market turbulence, the total net assets decreased by over a billion euros. The total asset value at the end of the month was 116,7 billion euros.

Short-term bond funds experienced the largest net flows, 295 million in total. This is typical during insecure times as investors look for safety from markets’ instability. Equity funds received 265 million euros in net subscriptions, asset allocation funds 40 million euros and alternative funds 26 million euros. On the other hand, 186 million euros were redeemed from long-term bond funds. Investments were presumably moved from long-term bond funds to short-term bond funds.
